I started as a apprentice working for the Electricity Board back in 1977 they trained me on all types of Appliances and sent me to collage where I obtained City & Guilds certificates in appliance Servicing. When qualified, I continued to work for Electricity Board until 1986 when I went to work for Hotpoint Ltd. as a service Engineer. Because of my experience I soon rose up the ranks and became one of their senior engineers. In 2001 they moved their operations down to Kent and commuted down to Sittingbourne But as I did not enjoy the traveling I decided to set up on my own. so in January 1992 I started Paul Blackmore Appliance Repairs. Over the years the company grew and we employed several engineers but in most cases I found them lacking in what I feel a service engineer should be. So now there is just myself. And I can give my customers the quality of repair and service they expect.

We operate an open and honest charging policy of a fixed price for the first Hour including the call out (most repairs are completed within an hour) and then in 15 minutes small fixed charges. Plus any parts. As we understand that no two jobs are the same.
We only use genuine parts, we do not use cheaper poor quality pattern parts and charge you the genuine part price we carry lots of common fault parts, but we don’t have your part we will get it in a few days so your Appliance will be back in working order in no time.
Once we have diagnosed your fault, we will be able to tell you exactly how much it will cost to repair so there will be no hidden charges. We do charge for estimates, and if you choose to go ahead with the repair, you will only pay the outstanding balance.
